Celebrate National Library Week
Whatever Your Learning Needs During the COVID-19 Closures, Your Local Library Is Ready to Help
Celebrate National Library Week virtually with Georgia Public Library Service through April 25. During times of crisis and calm, public libraries support lifelong learning and provide resources for everyone in a community.
Here are five online library resources that you can access for free.
1 Virtual yoga, storytimes, resume tips, and more
Libraries have stepped up to provide virtual programming that ranges from weekly yoga to Facebook Live chats exploring tips for building a strong resume and job skills. Contact your local library for the most up-to-date program schedules.
3 eRead Kids
Keep your children reading with eRead Kids, our digital collection of 20,000+ ebooks and audiobooks for children from pre-k through fourth grade. You just need your library card number and PIN.
4 Business skills training
Learn how to identify, evaluate and transform your business ideas into a sustainable success through Entrepreneurial Mindset Training, an online, self-paced course focused on the attitudes and thinking that lead to entrepreneurial success.
5 WiFi access in library parking lots
To help the thousands of Georgian families without internet access at home, as well as students who are continuing their lessons online while schools are closed, many public libraries are providing free wi-fi in their parking lots. Families can access high speed internet while maintaining a safe social distance from others.
