Summer Meal Site Locator now Available Online

The USDA Food and Nutrition Service is making it easier for children, parents, and community leaders to find local summer meal sites near them. The Summer Meal Site Locator is a free, web-based application that features a searchable map to help locate sites serving summer meals throughout the country.

The tool, which launched June 4, is available in Spanish and English at fns.usda.gov/summerfoodrocks.

To get started, type in a city, zip code or address. The tool will display the Summer Meal sites nearby. Just click on any blue dot to see where the site is located, when it is open, and contact information. Users can also access the link on mobile devices.

Promotional materials highlighting the Summer Meal Site Locator, and the National Hunger Hotline at 1-866-3-Hungry (English) and 1-877-8-Hambre (Spanish), are available at fns.usda.gov/sfsp/raise-awareness.

Summer Food Service Program State agencies: be sure to continue sending updates to your state’s site listings to summertechsupport@fns.usda.gov. The USDA Food and Nutrition Service will update the tool’s database weekly to ensure that families are connected to sites throughout the summer.
