“Georgia’s public libraries support the crucial work of the Get Georgia Reading Campaign by sharing its message about the importance of reading, and by providing families with 24/7 access to the needed resources to get kids reading on grade level by the end of third grade.”

Julie Walker, State Librarian

The state library organization is encouraging library systems across the state to engage with the Get Georgia Reading Campaign on the local level. Georgia’s public libraries are uniquely positioned to increase children’s access to the books, educational programming, and other supports that promote their language and literacy development. They also foster the delivery of Language Nutrition to all young children and promote positive learning climates.
